with my mind on my money...
So yesterday we officially began shooting one of our short documentaries for the DVD. The footage is beautiful. We're using these video cameras that duplicate the frame rate of film cameras, so the end result looks like film. Fabulous.
Documentary shooting will continue throughout the summer. Watch this space for an announcement soon about how you can get in on the action.
Those of you who didn't attend Jairus & Scooter's gig last night missed the chance to see two white boys doing an acoustic rendition of "Gin and Juice" in a Gresham coffee shop. If you missed it, for shame. For shaaaaaaaaame.

I saw the footage of Gin and Juice and it fucking RAWKED!
People are gonna love that.
Did you go to Kennewick with Rick to shoot some of this stuff? I was there this weekend too! Good times...
No.
See ... those of us who have major motion pictures to produce -- major motion pictures slated for release only five short months from now -- can't afford to take vacations. I was... you know... working. Getting up at 8am on a Saturday to drive to Milwaukie to film stuff. Then driving to Gresham to film other stuff. Making phone calls, coordinating schedules, sweating, slaving, spinning low-budget hay into cinematic gold...
But I hope Rick enjoyed his layabout three-day weekend.
Well then. Glad to see you're handling it all well.
Actually, in the grand scheme of things it's always better to have not spent 3 days in Kennewick. Just sayin'.
